Looking for an exceptional mago? This instrument, one of the last made by master craftsman Ambrose Cameron, is outstanding for several reasons. First and foremost has to be the beautiful gradual taper and the massive bore, very unusual in such a short instrument. Very open, non-restrictive sound, for warm, effortless vocal accents. Snappy, ringing response and easy to play for the more experienced player, despite the currently large mouthpiece, reduced in size by the application of sugarbag (which we could naturally reduce slightly more on request). An exquisite mago, a joy to behold, with the unmistakeable handprint (also literally) of Ambrose Cameron. One of the very last chances to pick up one of his instruments. MP3 |
